Old Forge closes but animals will benefit

KENT NEWS:

The Olde Forge furniture store in Deal is having a closing-down sale to raise money for abused and abandoned animals.

Vic Aubourg, owner of The Olde Forge and Hoppy’s Shop in the heart of the town, says he can no longer afford to run both properties and must sell one to meet the costs needed to support neglected animals.

He said: “At the moment the shops are run by family members and volunteers, so we need to sell one to keep the other going.

“The idea is to raise as much as we can for abused animals that need to be rehomed or treated accordingly.”

The Olde Forge, at 156 High Street, will be closing on Thursday, September 30.
